A: I always face any matter in a constructive manner, and I tend to be optimistic all the time even in any difficult situation. I believe that I can do anyting if I try it hard, and I can make great efforts to accomplish success.

（何事に対しても常に前向きな姿勢で取り組み、どんな時でも物事を楽観的に考えられるタイプです。「何事もやればできる」と信じ、目標達成のために常に努力する性格です。）

Point Lesson 「自分を分析する」質問は面 接では定番。自分自身の性格を把握した上で、それがその仕事にどのように活かせるかについても触れると効果 的。

Q: What are your weaknesses?
（あなたの短所は？）

A: One of my weaknesses is that I tend to take on a little too much responsibility. I believe that working with people is sometime very important, especially to work for a company as a member of the staff. I need to recognize this and learn how to share a task with co-workers toward one goal.

（私の短所のひとつに、少々責任感が強すぎ、自分ひとりで何でもやり遂げようとしてしまうところがあります。特に会社において、社員として働く場合、人と協力して働くことはとても重要になります。このことを認識し、一つの目標に向かって同僚と仕事を分担する方法を学ばなければいけないと思っています。）

Point Lesson 自分の弱点をしっかり分析でき、今後のために改善する姿勢をみせることが大切。短所を長所に転換したいのはわかるが、「働きすぎる傾向にある」や「完璧主義者です」のような回答は要注意。

A: I worked as an intern for a year developing my expertise as a telecommunications engineer. I've read a lot about your company and know this is one field you're expanding into. I think that my mix of skills and experience would fit in with your overall plans for growth, and I'd like to be a part of your future.

（１年間インターンを経験し、テレコミュニケーション・エンジニアとしての専門知識を習得しました。貴社についての様々な資料を拝見し、私の専門は貴社が拡張を予定している分野であることを知りました。私の知識と経験は、今後の貴社の拡張プランと一致し、また私自身も貴社の将来の一翼をになえればと思います。）

Point Lesson 志望動機は最もよく聞かれる基本的な質問。会社の知名度や安定性ではなく、自分のキャリア、将来設定を見据えた回答が望まれる。

Q: Why should I hire you?
（弊社があなたを採用するメリットは何ですか？）

A: My uncle had a company that was a small-scale manufacturer, and I worked there five summers doing all sorts of odd jobs. For that reason, I already have much experience in your industry, and I will be your new staff who can step in and do a good job any time.

（私の叔父が小規模の製造会社を経営しており、私はそこで５年間夏の間働き、様々な業務に携わりました。このような理由から、私はこの産業での経験があり、貴社において即戦力となる新入社員になれると思います。）

Point Lesson ここで、自分が会社にとってどのようにプラスになるかを強調するとよい。他のどの応募者でもなく、自分でなければならないと思わせるアピールが必要。

Q: What do you see yourself in your career over the next 5 years?
（あなたは５年後、どのようにありたいと思いますか？）

A: My long-term career goals, beyond five years are to have become an industry expert. I'd really like to have the opportunity to work in operations management. I'd also like the chance to develop my communication skills, perhaps by managing a small staff.

（これから５年間の、長期的なキャリアの目標としては、まずこの業界について学び専門知識を身に付けたいです。できればオペレーション管理に携わるチャンスを頂ければと思います。また、例えば小さな部署の監督をすることなどで、コミュニケーション・スキルも磨きたいと思います。）

A: I enjoy sharing tasks with others and combining our efforts in any occasion in order to achieve the best.

Q: What kind of people do you like to work with?

A: I really get along well with almost everybody, but I work particularly well with people who are as energetic and motivated as I am.

A: When I served as an intern to an insurance analyst last summer, I followed most of the major insurance companies closely. I've noticed that you recently focus on an unique plan, which I am very interested in.

A: Yes. As a matter of fact, I have two questions. Can you tell me more about your employee training? Also, I'd like to know what else I can do to prepare for this position as I await your answer. Are there any books or articles I should be looking at?

Point Lesson 必ず少なくても１つ以上の質問は用意しておこう。質問をすることで、会社に対する興味、熱意を伝えることができる。給与、待遇などについて不明な点がある場合、面 接の段階でクリアにすることはもちろん大切だが、それ以外にも実際の業務などに関する質問も用意しておくこと。
